The annual Fall Native Plant Sale is coming up soon. There are some changes this year… We’ll be combining the plant sale with the annual Community Harvest Exchange organized by Edible Landscapes of Yamhill County! The location has not changed; we will be at Miller Woods. The plants have not changed; we will still be selling only native plants (see below for a list of species that will be available).
What has changed, then? Well, we’ll have a variety of partner organizations present, many of them running activities. If you’ve attended Earth Day at Miller Woods in the last few years, it’ll be similar to that event! Partners will include Outdoor Education Adventures, Yamhill County Master Gardeners, Friends of the Library, and more. Edible Landscapes will be running community harvest exchange tables, so if you have any fruits or veggies in excess this is a great opportunity to trade or donate them!
There will also be a seed swap table again this year. Please bring seeds in labeled containers. We will have some envelopes available for packing up your new seeds to take home! Please stick to native plants, edible plants, or non-invasive ornamental plants. When taking seeds from the seed swap, be aware that we are unable to verify the identity of any seeds and you are accepting the risk of potentially misidentified seeds.
Plants are priced by container size. 4-inch containers are $4.50, 1-gallon containers are $7, 2-gallon are $10, and a handful of very large containers are $30.
