Nectar plant for Anise swallowtail and silvery blue butterflies.  Often used by Fenders blue butterfly as a perch.  In the lily family, produces blue spiked flowers and grass-like leaves.  Shade and drought tolerant.  Bulbs were valuable food source for Native American tribes.

This is the larger of the two species of camas that grow in Yamhill County, and can grow up to a maximum of 4 ft. tall! It typically blooms in May and can grow in full sun to partial shade. Bulbs should be planted 5-6 in deep.
