Habitat & Harvest Garden Tour

Loading Events

Habitat & Harvest is Yamhill Soil & Water Conservation District’s new urban habitat program. The two goals are to improve biodiversity and food security in Yamhill County.

Richard Hoffman has graciously agreed to host a tour of his space and share his vast knowledge of native plants, invasive species, and more. Join us for an inspirational afternoon!

Topics will include blackberry removal, “opportunistic native plants”, and native species. There will likely be some spring-blooming native plants in bloom, but given the unusually mild winter this year, it’s challenging to predict which ones. Some might include kurabayashi trillium, several different fawn lilies, western wallflower, and shooting stars.

Registration is required. Each person must register individually. The address will be provided to registered attendees two days before the event. This event is held in a home garden, so there may be uneven terrain or slippery areas – it is not fully ADA accessible.
