This invasive pest has been expanding its presence westward for 20 years and has now been confirmed on the West Coast in Forest Grove, Oregon. It’s primary host is ash trees, both native and ornamental. Tens of millions of ash trees have been killed east of the Rockies and our riparian areas throughout the Willamette Valley could be devastated. Please see our Emerald Ash Borer Fact Sheet, and visit Oregon Department of Agriculture’s Emerald Ash Borer webpage.
