Emerald Ash Borer has been detected twice in Yamhill County. This destructive insect will likely decimate ash trees throughout the county and the state within the next several years. If you have ash trees, now is the time to learn about the insect, the trees, and potential replacement tree species!

We are holding an info session on June 26th at 5:30pm, at the Chehalem Glenn Golf Course. Topics will include ash tree identification and ecological significance, signs and symptoms of emerald ash borer, and candidate species for ash “underplanting” (planting replacement trees and shrubs now, before the ash trees die out). This event is outdoors, so please bring water and dress for the weather. We hope to see you there!
