Yamhill County  is featured in the Fall 2023 edition of ArcNews! The article covers the Yamhill County Public Works effort on managing the roadside vegetation to protect the Fender’s blue butterfly. Public works uses ArcGIS’s Field Maps application in the mowing and herbicide rigs to identify these areas as they work. The district uses this same technology in it’s noxious weed efforts. In addition, the public works native plant and noxious weed survey data is shared with the district to coordinate efforts on roadside weeds throughout the county.
