Miller Woods: Visitation Guidelines during COVID-19

The Miller Woods Online Reservation System has been suspended for the fall & winter seasons.  Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this year of change and transition, as everyone attempts safety for their surroundings and for others.

When you arrive, please follow the directional trail signs from the parking lot to keep visitor traffic moving in the same direction.  A map indicating the trail direction is also available online. If you have to go off trail to pass someone, please keep an eye out for stinging nettles and poison oak.

Before your visit please be aware that our current services are limited:

  • There will be no bathroom available for visitors
  • Practice “leave no trace” and pack out your trash
  • Please stay out of clearly marked “staff only” areas
  • Green picnic tables are not available for visitors
  • Masks are not required, but encouraged especially while in the parking lot.
  • Passing
    • Wear a mask while passing if unable to maintain 6 feet of distance.
    • Turn around or wait for more appropriate passing locations if you feel like that is a better option.
    • If coming upon someone to pass, please call out to let the person in front of you know you’re passing. Please don’t pass until given the ok by the person in front of you.  Give them time to move aside before passing.

Please keep your visit short as restrooms will be unavailable.  We respectfully ask that every effort is made by the public using the property to protect our volunteers and staff while enjoying all nature has to offer at Miller Woods.  Please be ready for unexpected schedule changes as we respond to changes in how COVID-19 affects our schedules, hours of operation and sanitary protocols at the property.

Please review the CDC Guidelines for visiting parks and recreation facilities.

COVID Trail Directions

Continue to practice safety on the trails and stay with distancing guidelines and use protective covering when necessary.  Be aware of your surroundings and at all times try to leave ample room for others using the trails and in the parking lot.

Thank you for keeping safe.
