Permaculture Tour: Developing a Landscape that Promotes Natural Water Infiltration

October 1, 2018 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Register Online Now

Join us for a farm tour at Tabula Rasa Farms where owner Brenda Smola-Foti has been working with Zach Weiss of Elemental Ecosystems to use permaculture design in order to slow down water flow and encourage infiltration.

Water on Brenda’s property is abundant in the winter and scarce in the summer, so increasing natural infiltration and limiting erosion were her two major goals. You will see examples of Hugel beds, check dams, rain water capture, and bioengineering.

Zach Weiss is a protégé of revolutionary Austrian farmer Sepp Holzer and is the first person to earn a Holzer Practitioner Certification directly from Sepp. Zach is the Founder and CEO of Elemental Ecosystems.
