Due to COVID-19 and State directives, Miller Woods will be closed at noon on Monday, March 23, 2020 until further notice

Update: May 7, 2020

From:  Executive Director, Larry Ojua

The Yamhill Soil and Water Conservation District (district) closed Miller Woods in late March to comply with the guidance and requirements issued by the State of Oregon relating to Coronavirus (COVID-19).   We continue to monitor the state’s guidance relating to public health and safety, social distancing, and access to public venues.

In previous messages we announced the Miller Woods closure would last at least through May 8, consistent with the state’s policy and guidance.  We continue to monitor the requirements issued by the State of Oregon and local authorities relating to parks and open space.

Over the next two weeks, the district will review information and requirements being provided by the Oregon Health Authority and other state and local entities regarding parks and open spaces   We will review information and consult with the district board, regarding the feasibility of opening Miller Woods on a limited and controlled basis.

The district will post information on its website and the Miller Woods Facebook page regarding the status of Miller Woods.  The district’s priority is to keep visitors, conservation district employees, and volunteers as safe as possible, and to comply with state and local requirements.

Please refer to our website at www.yamhillswcd.org for information on the district’s conservation programs and services, and for updates on Miller Woods.  Thank you for your support of Miller Woods, and your understanding during this critical time.  Best wishes to stay healthy and safe.
