2nd Annual Miller Woods 10k Trail Race Raises Over $4000

The 2nd Annual Miller Woods 10k Trail Race was held on October 18. This year’s race had ideal weather and blue skies. The race was co-organized by local charity, the Give A Little Foundation. The event generated $4262 which was split evenly between Miller Woods and the Foundation. In addition to the race, Neyssa Hays from Outdoor Education Adventures, hosted an outdoor science camp for kids 5-12 years of age.

A total of 100 racers signed up for the event, with 88 racers finishing the challenging 6.2 mile course with just under 1,000 feet of elevation gain. T-shirts were designed and purchased by Solid Form Fabrication of McMinnville. Community Plate donated and delivered a variety of fresh pastries. Additional sponsors included A-1 Logging, Atticus Hotel, Coastal Mountain Springs, Ooh La Latte and Oregon Oncology Specialists.

Thank you to all the volunteers who came together to make this such a successful race!
